Alpine Climbing: Opened one of the Rockies hardest routes (Howse of Cards) in 2002. Scott climbed with Will Gadd and Kevin Mahoney. It showed a willingness to test his mettle against something more than the purely gymnastic routes of the Cineplex. When complimented on the ascent, he replied, "Best trip of my life. Beats my hardest redpoint by a million times."
Have authored several first ascents in the Canadian Rockies and speed-record ascents in Alaska.
Ice & Mixed Climbing: Competent and still learning. Flashed M9- and redpointed M10- in third season. Regularly lead up to WI6+, have soloed WI5+.
